It’s been a few week since I got lasered, and I have better than 20/20 vision now which is great but that’s not the best thing about the treatment, it’s the little things like:
Getting out of the shower and no longer have to blindly find my steamed up glasses on a shelf, knocking them off and trampling on them.
No longer have to put up with steamed up glasses when coming indoors from the cold.
No longer do the dog (my brother’s) chew my glasses as if it were a bone while I’m sleeping and hide them under my bed.
Wearing nice non-prescription sunglasses.
Wearing ski-goggles without the need to squash my glasses in between against my face.
Swimming without crashing headfirst into the edge of the pool and knocking myself out.
And best of all, some of my mates can no longer call me Harry Potter.
I would add “seeing the time/alarm clock while in bed overnight” but then I usually don’t want to know the time as ignorant is bliss, especially if there’s only 1 hour of sleep left.
Its only been a few weeks and my opitician advised that my eyes will be dry when I go out to Libya. So far, I’ve not noticed any changes, and everything remains problem free.

I would argue that contact lenses give you all those benefits, without the possible risk. But I don’t know that much on the subject.. Glad it’s all gone well for you though!
I don’t like contact lenses at all, I’m petrified of the idea of stabbing one’s eyes with them on a regular basis, even if its one of those long term ones. I’m bad enough with eye-drops as it is!
The you got the problem staying infection free, irritation, and costs. Also, some sports make them unsuitable for wearing.
