Welcome to my presence on the world wide web. I’ve had a website since 1997, and seem to be running or building new websites more than I buy socks.
I’m originally from Northumberland, a rural county in northern England, on the Scottish border. Since leaving my hometown, I’ve been on the move, having explored northern Scotland, completed a 12,000-mile solo roadtrip of the United States, lived in the French Alps during a ski season, and lived/worked somewhere north of London. I still have the travelling bug from my first “real” trip – an expedition to Venezuela many moons ago.
Currently I am working for an onshore seismic exploration company as a QC processor (quality control), and currently working in Cambodia, after working in the Libyan Sahara for a year. It has taken me to some very interesting and equally boring parts of Libya that very few people on the planet get to go to, and so far it’s been a fascinating journey.
Previously, I was working in Den Haag (The Hauge) in the Netherlands, as a “database geoscientist”, which involved auditing records and quality checking all sorts of information.
Long-term, I’m keen on working somewhere in North America, it’s such a friendly place, and so much more to see! So, if you know of some who’d like to hire a dedicated workaholic and can keep this guy busy, then drop a line!
Skiing is my favourite hobby by a long shot, but I do enjoy driving, off-roading, climbing, trekking, camping, travelling, computing and doing websites.
