We sold in August 2010 due to change in exchange rate which was around 1.46 when we bought taking that into account we received in pounds sterling what we paid for the apartment. If you purely looked at the euro amount we would have made a loss in euros but I think you have to take the exchange rate into account. Hope this is of use we miss the apartment as we now have to put our minds to what we are going to do in the summer!!

I sold out of PFB about six months ago (Aug 2011) and lost about 55-60% of what I paid when I bought off plan back in 2004-6. It was painful, but frankly I'm relieved to be out.

Does any one else have any datapoints on profit or loss?

Where have you got GBP to Euro rate from - never mentioned euro. All prices are in either GBP (Great British Pound) or leva (Bulgarian leva)

Hi!

Just joined the forum. I moved to Bulgaria in 2006 but to a more rural area in the centre of the country. I was involved in property sales and renovations and had a large portfolio of village houses. A few years back I would not have touched Sunny Beach with a barge pole but now that things have calmed down there somewhat, we have in fact bought an apartment up in Koshartisa and spend a large amount of time there over the summer. My other half is a guitarist and singer and has played a few gigs in SB over the summer and we hope to expand on this next year.

We are actively looking for another apartment or two in Sunny Beach. We prefer the northern area or Sveti Vlas. We have looked at Holiday Fort Golf and quite liked that. However read that maintenance fees are pretty high for Fort Noks apartments (we pay 9E/sqm).

Hi Everyone!

I'm from Russia and I bought an apartment in Fort Noks this year.
Really enjoyed with the quality of the complex and had great holiday. Beach is amazing!
Well, pity Fort Noks increased their maintenance fee to 12 euros per sq. m. - it is very expensive to be honest I have another property in Bulgaria, far more cheaper maintenance and not a bad service..
But anyway, I still like F.N. more than everytning and spent great holiday..
I showed my photos to my friends in Russia, and many of them now want to come to Bulgaria and buy properties next to me So, we will form a small Russian company there
So, I have a task to do - find good places for my friends
I'm desperate now on looking for a good sized apartments for sale there..

No inflation in Bulgaria, so we need to unite and get rid of Fort Noks.
12 Euros is too much, I've seen better kept complexes at 8 euro annually.

they are a bunch of clowns on NFC, nokalaya and that girl who work in office are always trying extort money out of the owners dont pay um, they told me i owe 2 years insurance last week,told um i emailed and cancelled in 2009

HI

i am on a roll tonight ! 2nd posting !
just paid my invoice for taxes etc and there is a charge of 9.58 euros for previous unpaid charges , just wondered if anyone else had any additional charges they know nothing about as i have paid all previous invoices in full
