Elenite is a small resort just north of St. Vlas which in turn is 5km north of Sunny beach.
In Elenite there are two Fort Knox complexes, Privilege Fort
Beach and Messembria. As a guest in Privilege entitles you to
visit and use facilities in any Fort Noks complex throughout Sunny
Beach including Messembria.
Messembria is a smaller complex than Privilege. It has two
pools one of which is a toddlers pool with slide and the larger pool
has water features. There is a resturaunt and two bars.
Just opposite Privilege is Paco’s Bar. This is ramshackle in
appearance but quaint in its own way with an unique atmosphere.
Despite its external appearance, Paco’s is very lively and has a great
atmosphere and it continues very popular with guests of the local
hotels as well as from Privilege and Messembria.
Light entertainment is laid on numerous times during the week, where
you can participate if you like or just sit and soak up the atmosphere.
If you have kids and want a day out, many people visit the Royal Park
Hotel for the day. Royal Park is an all inclusive hotel which offers
guests at Privilege the opportunity to pay for a day's all inclusive.
Take breakfast, lunch and evening meal, all your drinks and free
entertainment for all the family. On the beach there are a number
of water sports available from kayaking, windsurfing, paragliding and
banana boat rides. A qualified water sports instructor is on hand
for instruction. Along with these facilities you have access to
the water park which was opened in the summer of 2006.

If you don’t want to spend the day in the hotel, you can pay only to
visit the water park, the kids will love it and since this is a small
resort there are no big queues like some of the aqua parks in nearby
Sunny beach.
The Zorontas Sands hotel is directly adjacent to Privilege and offer
great food either off the menu or from the buffet and welcome guest
from Privilege.
The nearby stables of Elenite offer horse riding for all abilities and
is a great way to take in the outstanding tree-covered mountainside and
views. Prices this year are currently not available but last year
was fantastic value. There are trails in the hills for
walkers too.
Things to do in St. Vlas
St. Vlas is a mere 5km from Elenite and boasts many bars, shops and restaurants.
If you decide to walk to St. Vlas you’ll be pleased to know there are
three new Fort Noks complexes about half way which you can call
into and use the facilities, have a drink or even a dip in one of the
many pools, one of which has it’s very own wave pool, this should
freshen you up for the final leg of your journey but don’t forget your
towel!!!
From supermarkets to clothing and souvenirs there is plenty to browse
to wind away the time, there is even a small fairground for
entertaining the kids.
There are many bars over looking the re-vamped square of St.Vlas,
simply sit down, take a drink and watch the bustle of this little town.
If you’re feeling peckish try anything from Bulgarian to Chinese
cuisine the choice is yours, if you just want a snack there are plenty
of stalls selling pizza, kebab, sandwiches, cakes and a wide range of
delicious ice-cream.
Why not walk a few calories off and stroll down to the new marina and
few the boats the pop into the brand new Fort Noks complex and check
out their faculties.
Things to do in Sunny Beach
Sunny Beach is 10km south of Elenite and accessible by either
public bus, private bus or by taxi. Taxis sporting the Fort Noks
logo offer a 35% discount for those staying in Fort Noks and will be
happy to arrange your return journeys.
Sunny Beach is the biggest resort in Bulgaria and covers a large
area. Sunny Beach has an expansive pubic beach free to use
although there is a charge for deck chairs and parasols.
There are a number of activities on the beach such as volley ball and
other games and for the more adventurous you can also partake in
the usual water sports activities and bungee.
Just off the beach is the town which has an abundance of bars, shops, eat places, stalls and nightclubs.
The shops and stalls sell everything that you would get in any
large resort in Europe only a lot cheaper! Clothing, watches/jewelry,
latest CD/DVDs, and the usual souvenirs can be had for a bargain but
don’t forget to barter, you will get a better deal if you’re up for it!
If it’s not a shop/stall it’s a bar or restaurant. There are plenty
places to choose from, most offering Bulgarian cuisine but there are
numerous other International restaurants available to choose from, so
the fussiest of eaters will find something to whet their appetite!
There are the usual takeaways and fast foods on offer and healthy
options too for those quick snacks, these places are open nearly 24
hours a day.
Most of the bars are open until the last person leaves, usually in the
early hours of the morning! If you’re a football fan it’s not
difficult to find a bar showing the match you want to see, (they seem
to have better coverage of the English Leagues than we do!!!).
If you are not content with the bars and want to strut your stuff, then
there are three large nightclubs and multiple smaller ones where you
can dance/drink the night away!
Things to do in Nessebar Old Town
The town of Nessebar is one of the oldest towns in Europe. It is the
successor of the ancient Thracian settlement called Mesambria founded
in the second Century AD.
In 1956 the town was proclaimed an architectural and archeological
reserve. The remnants of an antique fortified wall with a gate dating
from III-IV century, the churches from V-VI century and the ones dating
from the medieval period (X-XIV century), which are fine works of the
medieval Bulgarian and Byzantine architecture, the 60 houses of the
revival period, give the town unique appearance and atmosphere.
You can reach Nessebar by public bus, taxi or a pleasant way by sea
taxi from the nearby jetty, this is the cheapest option and gives a new
prospective of the coastline between Elenite and Nessebar. The
journey takes approximately 30 minutes.
The town is rich in restaurants, old-style mehanas and pubs ranging
from the highest to the lower average class. Prices are somewhat above
the average level of other old towns along the coast, though these are
quite reasonable if compared to the nearby high-class resorts of Golden
Sands, Albena or Sunny Beach. The gateaux are something special too!
Nessebar is the place to go to buy arts and traditional crafts, with the artists and crafts people selling their own work.
