Flights and airports
Many airlines fly direct to Bourgas from the UK from most English airports including Newcastle, Durham-Tees Valley, Manchester, East Midlands, Birmingham, London Luton, London Stansted, London Heathrow and London Gatwick as well as Belfast, Prestwick and Cardiff.
In addition to the UK, XL.com fly from Dublin and Knock airports in Ireland.

Air Bulgaria and British Airways fly year-round from London Gatwick/Heathrow to either Bourgas or Varna and will be your choice for out-of-season flights.
Entry into Bulgaria is easy with a valid European Union passport with at least six months remaining before expiry.

Bulgaria is three hours ahead of British time. When it is 3pm in Bulgaria, it is 12pm in Britain.
Summer temperatures are in the high 20s and low 30s, and in Elenite, is affected by the refreshing sea breeze, and generally enjoys long hours of daily sunshine. Moutain areas will be somewhat cooler but still pleasantly warm.
Winter temperatures will see daily temperatures being persistantly below freezing and can be very much colder than British winter at times. Even on the coast, lying snow is not unusual.

taxi drivers the price before getting in.

UK mobile phones can be used in Bulgaria if you have roaming enabled, please check with your mobile phone company if you are able to call/receive on your mobile phone in Bulgaria as contracts vary. Alternatively, if your mobile phone is not locked, you can purchase a pay-as-you-go SIM card in Sunny Beach. Using your mobile phone with a UK SIM card abroad is very expensive, and Bulgaria is no exception.

2.8 levs to £1.00. A meal will cost between 4 to 15
levs depending where you eat. Britons will find their money will
go a long way in Bulgaria and often surprised at how cheap it is to
purchase items.

Bulgaria is in the extreme south-east
of Europe, with a Black Sea coastline (see red dot, left). It
enjoys a continental climate, with hot sunny summers and cold
winters. The coastal areas has a refreshing breeze.
Elenite is located near Bourgas (ringed on the map near left), on the Black Sea coast in south-eastern Bulgaria. The two nearest airports are Bourgas and Varna.
